Special thanks to Ray Nevarez and his staff at Zilker Park for working so hard to ensure we had a great event & for opening the trail for our trail run & bike rides. We love Austin Parks & Recreation Department! Also, special thanks to Jason Martin for volunteering as our onsite EMS and to Jeff & the gang with the Park Police who donated their time to be at TrailFest. The 3rd Annual Texas TrailFest Outdoor Adventure Festival has something for everyone, adults & kids! Group bike rides, 5K Adventure Run & 'Round About 1K Fun Run/Walk, Rock Climbing Wall, a Bike Rodeo for the kids including the bike limbo, log pull and bike toss, Bike Obstacle Course to test your skills and the Pure Austin Obstacle Course Challenge for kids and adults. New for 2004, the TrailFest Adventure Quest Scavenger Hunt, the Zilker Park Bike Race, the Cross-Country Navigation & Wilderness Survival Class with Derrick Wright with The Terrain Association and an expanded kid's activity area with a variety of fun-filled activities including relay races and a free play area by YouthInterACTIVE, a visit from the FUNBUS and the Jumpasaurus! We will also have food vendors in the festival area with Mangia Pizza , Thundercloud Subs and Texas Coffee Traders mmmm good! In our first two years Texas TrailFest participants raised over $12,000!
